The definition of relaxation is the state of being free from tension and anxiety. In my last blog post, I discussed self-care. In continuing to encourage self-love, this is an important aspect of self love; being able to relax. The ability to escape tension and anxiety for even just a moment is so freeing. So many of us are neglecting our physical and mental health, due to the cares of life. It is so easy to push yourself to the back burner, but if we continue to do so, there are often consequences. Some of the consequences are health issues like high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, and countless others. Mentally, we suffer the anxiety and stress, preventing us from being able to truly live. So take time to identify the positive activities that help you relax.
